Antimicrobial spectrum: Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
Mode of Resistance: Loss of cell wall permeability

Applications: Recommended for use in molecular biology applications at 10-20 μg/ml. A group of broad-spectrum antibiotics. Used to treat infections of the urinary tract, respiratory tract, and then intestines. Also used to treat chlamydia, moderately severe acne and rosacea, and many other infections.
