| Applications: | A labeled dicarboxylic acid. Has a fruit-like taste. Used as a food acidulant. Regulates acidity in food. A precursor to dimethyl fumarate which is used in patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, which significantly reduces relapse and disability progression. Also used in polyester resin and polyhydric alcohol manufacture and as a mordant for dyes. |
